A Powerful Reading from Dorothea Smartt

The Center for the Humanities in an Urban Environment was honored to co-sponsor renowned poet Dorothea Smartt on October 24th, 2013. Dorothea Smartt, a British author of Barbadian descent, a passionate reading of her poetry for a large audience. The center would like to thank FIU’s African and African Diaspora Studies program, the Department of English, the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies and all those in attendance for sharing in this wonderful evening.
