Mark D'Alessandro's lecture a triumph.

On October 9th, 2013, The Center for the Humanities in an Urban Environment partnered with the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for the second event of the “Food for Thought” lecture series. Titled Fauxciutto: Is Italian-American Cuisine Really Italian?, the event was led by FIU’s own Chef Mark D’Alessandro. The lecture discussed the history of Italian food in America and if Italian-American food is really “authentic Italian.” The center would like to again thank the Vizcaya staff and all those in attendance for an exciting and interesting night.
