An Evening with Leon Bottstein

Event information
Venue:Graham Center, FIU

Internationally known educator, composer, conductor, and writer, Dr. Leon Bottstein, President of Bard College, will talk about the university's role as patron of the arts and of artists. Bard has a long tradition of support for artists, particularly those who come from the exile community. Dr. Bottstein's personal experiences with exile, most recently with Romanian writer Norman Manea who is the Francis Flourny Professor in European Studies at Bard, give him unique insights into the way a university fosters and extends the work of exile artists. This event is free and open to the public.
