Sister Helen Prejean, an internationally renowned advocate for social justice and author of Dead Man Walking, will speak on capital punishment. Sister Helen has been in the foreground of debates on the morality and practicality of the application of the death penalty in the American justice system. She will be joined by Bill Quigley, a leading defense lawyer and Professor of Law at Loyola of New Orleans University, to lead a discussion of this most important issue.
