Engaging Humans in the Humanities

Event information
Venue:Green Library 220, FIU campus

The power of the arts and humanities in engaging our society has yet to be tapped to its full potential. Our community is increasingly diverse and as numerous measures of Miami's civic life indicate, many choose not to participate in and feel disenfranchised from public process.

There are many ways for residents to be effectively engaged in the arts and humanities. These forms can broaden voices and participation on a topic that touches everyone's life. Increased levels of engagement may bring about shifts in thinking and attitude and hopefully movement towards action. Evident in all of these possibilities is the power of the arts and humanities to animate democracy. This event is free and open to the public.
